Out now: LiverpoolSU’s Student Written Submission is now available - go here to read it and for more information!
LiverpoolSU is here to represent all LJMU students and ensure that you Love Student Life. We pride ourselves on being an entirely student-led organisation, working solely to improve your experience whilst at university.
The Student Written Submission is a collation of all of the feedback we have received from you, the students, about your day to day experience at LJMU. This has been gained from talking to you year-round at our Mini SU sites, at lecture shout outs, through online surveys and from direct feedback from LiverpoolSU volunteers.
The specific areas that need to be prioritised to best improve the student experience are:
• Assessment and Feedback
• Teaching Quality
• Employability
• Placements
• Complaints and Appeals
• Students with an ‘other’ disability (in particular with learning resources), as defined by the NSS
The Student Written Submission is put to the university as a recommendation on policy and how to improve the student experience.
LJMU is currently undergoing a Higher Education Review by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. This means that the university will be assessed to see whether it meets the national expectations of the Higher Education sector for:
The setting and/or maintenance of academic standards
The provision of learning opportunities
The provision of information
The enhancement of the quality of students' learning opportunities.
The Student Written Submissions is an important part of this review process.
