We’re so excited for our JMSU Freshers Fair, and here’s everything you need to know.
Date: Thursday 18th September
Venue: Exhibition Centre Liverpool

Time: 10.30am to 5pm. Last entry to the fair will be at 4:45pm.
You can also stay for as long as you want, so go around again if you missed anything.
What do you need to bring?
Please bring your LJMU ID card or you will not be permitted entry.
Quiet Period
We will be hosting a quiet period between 10.30-11am, students are then welcome to attend from 11am onwards. Please don't worry if you've specified a 'morning' or 'afternoon' ticket. If you have bought a morning ticket but now can only attend in the afternoon, or vice versa - just come along when you can. Please note that even with a ticket, we will need verify your LJMU student status at entry, either with your student card or enrolment letter.
What to Expect
As well as free Domino's Pizza on arrival, the fair will host lots of fun and exciting commercial stalls such as Boux Avenue, Bierkeller, Pure Gym, and Boots.
We will also have over 200 of our wonderful student groups, and over 40 external volunteering partners, partner charities, not to mention our brilliant LJMU services which we partner with every day.
You will have unlimited, free access to our Fairground rides. Don't forget, you'll get plenty of freebies including our limited edition tote bag, plastic cup, wall planner and so much more. You'll be able to chat to our staff team, including our Student Officers.
Is there food available?
You will also have access to cafes on site so you can buy drinks and refreshments.
Shuttle Buses
While the fair is only a short walk from our campuses and many of our student accommodations, we will be providing a free shuttle bus service for students to get to the fair.
We are providing coach transport to the fair from five different university buildings, running on a loop from 9.30am all day until the end of the event with the final coaches returning to campus between 5pm. There will be one wheelchair space on each coach. There will be staff at each location if you need assistance, look out for the JMSU lollipops!

Accessibility & Prayer Spaces
We have designated quiet spaces, as well as ear defenders and ear plugs for students who need them. We also have multi faith prayer rooms available. Please look out for our directional signage in the Fair or speak to a member of staff for support.
We welcome students of all identities and neurotypes. Please ask staff if you need extra support navigating the fair.
Sustainability
We’re working to reduce waste so please reuse your tote bags and cups!
Safety & Lost Property
In case of an emergency, please speak to the nearest JMSU Steward, who will be clearly identifiable and available to assist you.
A designated First Aid Station will also be available on-site throughout the event.
If you lose any personal belongings during the fair, please contact us at JMSUevents@ljmu.ac.uk with a description of the item, and we’ll do our best to help you recover it.
