Thursday 21-03-2019 - 14:09

This year’s Amazing Teaching Awards took place on Tuesday 19th March at the Merseyside Maritime Museum, hosted by JMSU and led by Vice President Academic Quality Julia Daer. The evening was a great success, highlighting the hard work, enthusiasm and dedication of a range of student reps, academic and professional services staff at LJMU.

With over 1000 nominations it is clear to see that the difference individuals make across LJMU is truly appreciated. The evening was opened by Julia Daer alongside Interim Vice-Chancellor Mark Power, who impressed the importance of recognising and rewarding the incredible work that is done behind the scenes every day at LJMU.

This year saw the introduction of two new award categories – the Smaller Earth Extra Mile Award and the Alumni Award, sponsored by the LJMU alumni department. These were awarded alongside the Officer Awards which highlight individuals who have been instrumental in helping the JMSU Student Officer team achieve their pledges to students as elected officers.
