Position in BUCS Ranking this week: 65 with 299 points
This week has been an important week for all our teams as some of them were competing in Cup matches yesterday. To the teams that had Cup matches they did not disappoint with several teams moving onto the next round just to name a few ; Netball 2nds, Men’s Hockey 1sts and Women’s Hockey 2nds.
Performance of the week has got to go to Men’s Rugby Union 1st team against University of Liverpool who according to the referee on the day “Played the best match I have refed this season. There were very few penalties, excellent discipline from both sides and a really, really good competitive game of rugby. I spoke to both captains after the match and thanked them but wanted you to know how well LJMU performed.” Great job to the rugby lads for showing a great sporting attitude.
One to watch next week; Sadly we do not have many matches at home this week, however the ones that we do have should be an exciting watch; Men’s Basketball, Women’s Hockey 1st & 3rds and Netball.
