BUCS ranking 70 (Still staying steady)
Last weekend was a big couple of days for BUCS nationals. We had athletes compete in Athletics, Badminton, Swimming, Boxing, Karate and Trampoline. From this weekend of competitions we have two Golds from our Sports Scholars, Gold in men's pole vault and Gold in men's boxing 64kg.
This week was also important for for Cup fixtures with teams competing to move onto the next round. We had two wins with Womens Football and Netball. Well done to both teams!
We are still awaiting some of the results to come through but of the ones that have been sent in;
- Women's Hockey beat Keele 3-2
- Netball beat Edinburgh in the Cup 71-45
- Womens Badminton lost against Chester 7-1
- Men’s Rugby Union 1sts beat Manchester 36-19
Next week is a smaller week for fixtures as this sporting season starts to finish up. Both Womens Football and Netball have Semi-Final cup fixtures one more stage to go if they win these fixtures then they go onto be BUCS Big Wednesday at Sheffield. American Football also have their first playoff fixture against Edinburgh away on Sunday 6th March.
