BUCS ranking 70 (Still staying steady)
This week was a big week for Cup fixtures with 8 teams competing to move onto the next round. Unfortunately we had a couple of cancellations due to the weather and fixture clashes.
However some fixtures did still go ahead.
We are still awaiting some of the results to come through but of the ones that have been sent in;
- Women's Volleyball lost in the Cup fixture against Sheffield Hallam 0-3
- Men’s hockey lost in the Cup fixture against Sheffield 1-2
- Netball 1sts beat Nottingham 58-55
- Men’s Rugby Union lost the Cup fixture to Lancaster 5-65
Next week is one of the last weeks of fixtures for this sporting season we have a total of 24 fixtures being held at home and away, for the successful teams these fixtures will be the quarter finals for the next round. We also have both Men's and Women's Volleyball teams in tournaments this weekendat MMU Cheshire. American football have their last league fixture on Sunday against Bangor at JMO Sports Park 3pm kick off.
Also this weekend is important in our calendars as it is BUCS Nationals. We have athletes competing in Athletics, Badminton, Swimming, Tennis and Karate these atheltes will be traveling to Sheffield in the early hours of Friday morning for a weekend of compeition.
