BUCS ranking 69 We've moved up one spot!
This week was also important for for Cup fixtures with teams competing to move onto the finals. Sadly Netball suffered a close loss whereas Womens Football 1st had an amazing come back to take the fixture. Unfortuately the weather was once again not on LJMU's side with several off our fixtures having to be called off.
We are still awaiting some of the results to come through but of the ones that have been sent in;
- Netball loss an extremly close fixture against Nottingham 59-65
- Womens Football 2nds beat Keele 3-2
- Golf beat York 4.5-1.5
As well as these scores we have had some amazing news.
Womens Football had an amazing match against York 5-4 to secure their place in the Conference Cup Final in Lancaster this coming Wednesday, it was an amazing come back as the girls went 2-4 down and brought it back. As well as this huge success the American Football team travelled all the way up North to play Edinburgh Napier Knights to come back with an amazing win. This means they will go into the Northern Conference Cup final and host against either Manchester or Cumbria this coming Sunday 13th at JMO Sports Park, deffinitely a fixture not to be missed. With only two weeks left of fixtures this time can lead to rearranged fixtures to being played on weekdays and weekends to guarantee all our teams finish in the correct position.
