This term we’ve seen Team LJMU clubs return to BUCS competitions across 40+ sports teams. It’s been a delight to see students return after nearly 18 months since the last BUCS competition.
Resuming BUCS sport meant that to support the COVID recovery, we’ve entered 15 new teams into the leagues to allow further opportunities for students to get involved in sports. We currently sit in 56th in the overall BUCS table for league sports with 9 of our teams leading their respective leagues and 15 still in the Cup competitions.
Not only have we seen success each and every Wednesday from our teams, but it’s also been fantastic to see our athletes perform in individual competitions. Highlights have included the new Cycling Club entering the BUCS Hill Climb and Jiu-Jitsu being awarded 2 medals in the BUCS Atemi Competition.
A huge well done to all of our amazing clubs - after a difficult year away from competition, you’ve come back stronger than ever.
