7 Reasons to go to Refreshers Fair!
It’s 2018! New Year, new you? We know it isn’t the easiest time to stick to resolutions, so we've lined up an awesome event to help keep you on track. On Wednesday 24th January from 12pm-4pm we’re taking over Camp and Furnace in the Baltic Triangle for REFRESHERS’ FAIR.
Join us for freebies, free pizza, brand new clubs and societies, free popcorn, a frozen yogurt bar, a DJ, a bar and stick to some 2018 goals! Here are the top reasons why you need to join us for Refreshers’…
1. Looking to try new things? Join a society.
We have a massive range of student-led societies for you to explore and join, including brand new societies like Doctor Who, Medieval Society, Cosmetics Society and FIFA society. It’s never too late to get involved, and now is an ideal time to come meet our amazing groups in person.
2. Want to get more active? Join a sports team.
Get fit and active the easy way by joining a sports club this semester. Whether you’re keen to try a new sport like Squash or Pool, or fancy going back to a school favourite like Hockey or Football, there is a club suited to you. Become a part of #TeamLJMU!
3. Want to do something different in Liverpool?
The biggest and best brands in the city will be on hand to show you some of the amazing things you can do in Liverpool (whilst dishing out plenty of freebies too, of course). Discover new activities, bars, places to eat and more - and start adding them to your 2018 bucket list.
4. Free food!
As always, Dominos will be giving you a warm, delicious welcome with plenty of free pizza and special vouchers throughout the day. You can also expect lots of other free treats (suitable for anyone on a health kick), including a free frozen-yogurt bar with fruity toppings and popcorn to nibble on while you explore the fair.
5. You’ve finished exams & deserve a treat.
You’ve been working hard over the last few months, so we want you to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in an awesome space, which is why we’ve chosen the famous Liverpool venue, Camp & Furnace. Enjoy music from a live Medication DJ, get a drink (soft or alcoholic if you fancy) from the bar & make the most of the fair.
6. All the info you need in one place.
We know there’s a lot going on in January, so we’ve put the right people in the right place so you can access any important info you need. Whether you’re looking for your next student accommodation, need careers advice or graduate job info, or want information on health & wellbeing services, we’ve got you covered.
7. We’re putting on free buses from every campus.
There’s no excuse not to come down no matter where you are in the city, as we’re putting on free regular busses from all campus locations. We’ll be putting up the times and exact locations very soon.
