Come to this session, led by one of our student staff members from Italy, to explore the Italian culture and a taster to learn the Italian language!

Learning a new language has never been easier or more worthwhile. As well as building your confidence in travelling for holidays and conferences, language skills can open up opportunities to study and work abroad.

Learning languages can also help develop intercultural awareness, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills, all of which are highly valued by universities and employers.

To support your development of language skills, LJMU now provides access to the world-famous Rosetta Stone language learning system which includes learning programmes for 24 languages. This system is entirely cloud-based, so you can learn wherever you are, and on any device. It is available for free to LJMU staff and students, here.
