JMSU are committed to ensuring that the Course Rep scheme is run in partnership between the Students' Union and the University - we have a Student Officer and full time staff members, dedicated to working with and supporting LJMU staff members in any way they can.

If you have any questions and would like to meet someone from JMSU in person, please attend our Coffee, Cake and Change Things events across campus. These are brand new this year and are drop in style events, where you can come and ask any questions that you have, acquire support from each other, discuss topics relevant to that month, or just chat - and of course as the name suggests, there will be cake! These will take place as follows:

  • Byrom Street social space: first Tuesday of every month

  • IM Marsh social space: second Tuesday of every month

  • Redmonds social space: third Tuesday of every month

  • Tithebarn social space: fourth Tuesday of every month

If you are unable to make these events, but still get in contact, please find our contact details below:

Julia Daer | Vice President (Academic Quality) | vpacademic@ljmu.ac.uk | ext. 4901
Becci McEvoy | Head of Advocacy | r.mcevoy@ljmu.ac.uk | ext. 4942
Nasreen Hasan | Academic Representation Coordinator | n.hasan@ljmu.ac.uk | ext. 4906

If you find that Course Reps are disengaging with the role, please speak to any of the people listed above and we will be able to assist the Course Rep with further training or alternatively remove them from our databases. It will then be your responsibility to elect or select another Course Rep.
