You can put yourself forward to become a Part-Time Officer from Monday 21 September until Sunday 18 October 2020.
This academic year, 2020/21 we have eight Part-Time Officers for you to nominate yourself for:
- BAME Students’ Officer
- Disabled Students’ Officer
- International Students’ Officer
- LGBTQA+ Students’ Officer
- Multi-Faith Officer
- Post Grad Students’ Officer
- Trans & Non-Binary Students’ Officer
- Women’s Officer
To stand for any of these roles you must self-identify as belonging to that group.
Part-Time Officers champion, celebrate and create change for student communities within LJMU. With the other elected representatives, Part-Time Officers have an active role in our Student Networks, they support us improving Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at LJMU as well as celebrating the communities they represent.
Previous Part-Time Officers have done amazing things for your communities including lobbying LJMU to update trans' students names from their birth names to their chosen names, leading on equality and diversity campaigns across campus, organising events for Black History Month and working to diversify the curriculum at LJMU and so much more!
These roles are voluntary and will represent LJMU students for one year, October 2020 until October 2021. If elected you will represent all your fellow students, their academic interests and make the student experience the best it can be! These roles provide you the opportunity to meet, network and represent students and the student communities at LJMU and so much more!
