Manifesto writing tips

A manifesto is a document to tell the voters why they should vote for you and what you would do if you were elected. All candidates should submit a manifesto before the deadline to explain to students why they think they are the best person to be elected.

It’s up to you what you write in your manifesto, but we would say that starting with a slogan/tagline/title works well to grab people’s attention. Sometimes using humour or incorporating your name can work well with these, but don’t feel you have to! Then talk about what makes you a great candidate for the job, why people should vote for you, and what you would want to work on if you were elected.

We will give more information about manifestos closer to the time.
