Coronavirus Support

We know that the last 12 months or so haven't been easy, especially as a student. As your Officer team, we want you to know that we're here for you, here to support you and lobby on behalf of you. We're here to ensure that your needs are being heard in conversations and meetings at the highest level within LJMU, in the city and nationally with the Government through NUS.

We are reacting to the consequences of recent changes and Government restrictions as we move into 2021, planning campaigns around your student experience, and how we can best minimise impact to your studies, finances, and university journey. We’ve heard your issues and we support your demands on us to help fight for you. Since returning from the winter break, we have devised a plan for action - focusing on four key areas below.

❗️ Finance and Compensation
❗️ Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
❗️ Student Support and Wellbeing
❗️ Social Connections

We also want to know what you’re thinking and how you’re feeling so that we know that we can be sure we’re talking to LJMU about the right things. There are a number of ways that you can contact us:

We are here to support you. If you feel that you’re being adversely affected in your studies by the ongoing pandemic, we’re here to help you get back on track. You can contact our Advice Service, or if it’s related to your wellbeing, the Student Wellbeing Team at LJMU are on hand.

In the meantime, please stay safe and know that you're not alone. Please follow your local guidance if you’re not self-isolating, or if you are, follow the self-isolating guidance in place to keep us all safe and well.
